I am a Paris Observatory PhD student currently working at the Sun and Stellar interiors department of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. My PhD work is centered on the PLATO space mission. This is an ESA mission devoted to detect Earth-like planets in the Habitable Zone of Sun-like stars using the transit method.
I develop and test different methods for the correct identification of false planetary transits for the PLATO on-board photometry extraction procedure. The sources of such signals are primarly Background Eclipsing Binaries that can pollute PLATO science observations. I am also working on the developing of correction algorithms for several defects that PLATO CCDs might have, such as the so-called Charge Transfer Inefficiency, CTI.
