Quality Assurance (Mechanics)

The quality assurance within the mechanical department is responsible for the dimensional verification, coating/surface treatment and labelling of parts, manufactured in-house or externally, to ensure the required high quality of the products.

In order to meet the high quality standards in the space sector, as well as the specifically defined goals of our scientific instruments, quality assurance provides support at various levels, e.g. ensuring complete traceability of the component history from the raw material to the measured component.




 

For the mostly complex measuring tasks, our employees are trained in a wide range of measuring methods so that a broad and efficient spectrum of accuracies can be mapped. Complex component geometries and even entire test setups can be measured on automated 3D coordinate measuring machines, and smaller precision measurements can be guaranteed and documented using contactless 3-axis video measuring microscopy.
