The Max-Planck/Princeton Research Center for Plasma Physics is a framework for collaboration between the Max Planck Institutes for Plasma Physics, Astrophysics and Solar System Research, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Princeton University. The center fosters collaboration by leveraging the skills and expertise of scientists and engineers and by promoting collaboration between astrophysicists and fusion scientists generally, the center hopes to accelerate discovery in fundamental areas of plasma physics.
The next MPPC workshop, dedicated for discussions on the latest developments in the research fields covered by the Center, will take place in the university town, with the oldest and largest university in the federal state of Lower Saxony (Georg August University, founded 1732): Göttingen.
